This policy describes how Torny ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use our marketing site (torny.golf) and application (app.torny.golf).
Data we collect
- Account data — name, email, password (hashed), handicap index, locale preference.
- Tournament data — tournament details, player names, scores, join requests, and content you upload (e.g. cover images).
- Technical data — device type, IP address, logs for security and debugging.
- Payment data — Pro tournament purchases are processed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat; we receive transaction identifiers, not full card numbers.
How we use data
To provide tournament organisation, scoring, leaderboards, authentication, support, and — on the free tier — to show advertising. We do not sell your personal data.
Legal basis (UK/EEA)
Contract performance (running your account), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent where required (e.g. marketing cookies).
Retention
We keep account and tournament data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting hello@torny.golf.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data subject to applicable law. Contact us at hello@torny.golf.
Third parties
We use hosting, analytics, maps/places APIs, advertising (free tier), and payment processors. Each processes data under their own policies.
Children
Torny is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
